Yellowstone National Park

Located in Southwestern Montana and Northwestern Wyoming, Yellowstone is an amazing array of geysers, mud pots, limestone terraces, boiling colored pools, and many other examples of hydrothermal activity. Yet, there is far more to see and photograph, including the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, mountains, meadows, rivers and streams, lakes and ponds, dense forests, and wild flowers. Yellowstone is also a huge wildlife preserve containing hundreds of bird species, and mammals. The park offers an excellent system of trails and roads, and is easily accessed through five major entrances.
